ISO 45001:2018

ISO 45001 is an international standard that specifies requirements for an occupational health and safety (OH&S) management system. It provides a framework for organisations to manage risks and improve OH&S performance. The standard establishes criteria for an OH&S policy, objectives, planning, implementation, operation, auditing and review. Key elements include leadership commitment, worker participation, hazard identification and risk assessment, legal and regulatory compliance, emergency planning, incident investigation and continual improvement. The Forest Stewardship Council ® (FSC ®) promotes environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial, and economically viable management of the world’s forests. The FSC label provides the link between responsible production and consumption and thereby enables the consumer to make socially and environmentally responsible purchasing decisions. Nordic Swan Ecolabel

The Nordic Swan Ecolabel is one of the world’s recognised environmental certifications that is only awarded to products and services meeting ambitious environmental requirements. The Nordic Swan Ecolabel promotes resource efficiency, reduced climate impact, a non-toxic circular economy and conservation of biodiversity. Holders of the Nordic Swan Ecolabel have to meet the high-standard requirements and ensure the quality and durability of their production and services. Poligrāfijas grupa Mūkusala successfully obtained the certification in January 2012, which applies to the paper, chemicals, and energy resources used in our operations.

Climate Calc

ClimateCalc is a calculation tool that provides customers and manufacturers with relevant information about the total carbon footprint of a print or packaging product. A ClimateCalc certification confirms that a company’s data and carbon accounting have been verified by an independent external party during an annual audit. Poligrāfijas grupa Mūkusala obtained the ClimateCalc certificate in 2021 and has since followed CO₂ impact monitoring and documentation requirements aimed at compensating for CO₂ emissions.
