At Poligrāfijas grupa Mūkusala, sustainability is an integral part of our business and everyday operations.
We are committed to responsible manufacturing, efficient use of natural resources and continuous improvement of our environmental performance throughout the entire production process.
Our environmental management is supported by internationally recognised certification schemes, including ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety), FSC® Chain of Custody, Nordic Swan Ecolabel and ClimateCalc.
Our commitments
Responsible sourcing of raw materials
We purchase paper exclusively from established European manufacturers operating under certified and sustainable forestry systems. All papers used for Nordic Swan-labelled products are approved and registered within the Nordic Swan system.
Protection of forests and biodiversity
Through our FSC® certified supply chain, we ensure traceability of fibre sources and support responsible forest management practices that help protect biodiversity and prevent illegal logging.
Environmentally responsible production
We continuously select inks, chemicals and production materials with the lowest possible environmental impact while complying with the strict requirements of the Nordic Swan Ecolabel.
Efficient use of resources
We continuously optimise our production processes to reduce paper waste, improve material efficiency and maximise recycling of production residues and packaging materials.
Reducing climate impact
Using ClimateCalc, we monitor and calculate our carbon footprint and continuously implement measures to improve energy efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Continuous improvement
Through our ISO 14001 environmental management system, we regularly monitor our environmental performance, establish annual objectives and implement improvement programmes to further reduce our environmental footprint.
Sustainability and environmental responsibility are integrated into our sourcing, production and management processes and are supported by independent certification and regular third-party audits.
