History
1993
The beginnings of Poligrāfijas grupa Mūkusala: JSC Diena established a structural unit, Diena-Repro, as one of the first prepress studios in the Baltic States. In a short time, Diena-Repro became the leading company in the field.
1996
The ceremonial opening of the Tipogrāfija Mūkusala, and we started to print newspapers.
1998
Goss Community – a press for newspaper printing was installed.
2000
Both production units (Tipogrāfija Mūkusala and Diena-Repro) are situated in the same building and are given one name – Poligrāfijas grupa Mūkusala, Mūkusalas street 15a, Riga.
2003
A new newspaper printing machine, Solna D 400, was installed.
2006
New machines - KOMORI 38S (a printing press) and Bravo Plus MÜLLER MARTINI (a finishing line) were installed.
2008
Two inserting lines are installed: ProLiner (for newspaper inserting) and Onyx Rubin (for magazine inserting), as well as Merchandise Tipper (gluing of advertising inserts) and Compact (rotary disc knife) machines.
2009
A successful cooperation with new export customers was established, and our export volume tripled as a result.
2010
We obtained the ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004 certificates as a result of the company’s efforts to create a unified quality and environmental management system.
2011
We obtained the FSC® certificate. This is in an international conscious forestry certificate, which ensures environmentally friendly, socially considerate and profitable forest management.
2012
In January 2012, we obtained the Nordic Swan Ecolabel certificate, which confirms that we are an environmentally friendly company. It applies to the paper, chemicals, and energy resources we use.
2013
We obtained the OHSAS 18001 certificate, which confirms the implementation of a workplace safety and occupational health system.
2013
We set up the soft-cover book gluing machine Alegro 6.
2015
We doubled our production capacity in magazine printing services. New equipment — the KOMORI 38S (a web offset press for magazine printing), Primera MÜLLER MARTINI (a saddle stitcher), and DOMINO Bitjet+ (a digital printing system for in-line address printing and personalisation) — was installed.
2021
We obtained the ClimateCalc certificate for CO₂ impact monitoring and documentation, aimed at compensating for CO₂ emissions.
2022
A new newspaper printing machine Tensor T1400 has been installed.
Implementation of the CtP project, during which two LUXEL NEWS 80 CtP devices were replaced with one new thermal CtP device.
2023
The company celebrates its 30 years jubilee - THE POWER OF UNITY!
