From October 8 to October 12 2014, the Ltd. “Poligrāfijas grupa Mūkusala” participated in the international exhibition “Frankfurt Book Fair 2014” to present their products among the best printed works produced in Latvia.
Latvia has been participating in the international exhibition “Frankfurt Book Fair 2014” for twenty years, but this year it was the first time when the Latvian stand had attracted a particularly wide set of participants, including industry associations, publishers with the highest export potential, and printing companies. A total of 29 companies represented Latvia in different exhibition halls in Frankfurt this year.
This year, the keynote idea of the Latvian stand was to image the Latvian literature and book publishing as the Latvian Diamonds. A separate stand was devoted to the magazines, catalogues and advertising literature printed at home. The Ltd. “Poligrāfijas grupa Mūkusala” was represented by the project managers Brigita Klovāne and Andrejs Siliņš.
The Latvian national stand was organized by the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA) in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture of The Republic of Latvia, Latvian Publishers' Association, Latvian Literature Centre, Association of Latvian Printing Companies and Latvian Bibliophile Guild. The Latvian national stand was organized within the framework of the project of the external market penetration support program of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) “National Company stands at international exhibitions abroad and export counselling”.
