Frankfurt Book Fair 2025

News

On October 15 – 19, 2025, our sales representative Jana Līkuma participated in the 77th Frankfurt Book Fair, one of the world’s largest book festivals and most important events for the general public and professionals in various fields of the publishing industry. The fair plays an important role as a platform where publishers can meet other companies in the industry, learn about current trends, and present their work to a wide audience. This year the Frankfurt Book Fair was attended by nearly 240,000 professionals and the general public from 131 countries, and 4,350 exhibitors showcased their works.

This year, special attention was paid to audiobooks, artificial intelligence, and content localization in various markets. Several new digital publishing tools and platforms that help  to facilitate the translation and distribution process were also presented at the Frankfurt Book Fair. Publishers emphasized that there is a growing interest in the works of Central and Eastern European authors.

For the “Poligrāfijas grupa Mūkusala”, the Frankfurt Book Fair is particularly important, as it provides an excellent opportunity to meet with our current customers, as well as to introduce our services to the potential new clients, that would eventually lead to the establishment of new and long-lasting partnerships. A large proportion of the new contacts we have made are from Germany and the UK, and we hope to expand our services in these countries.

Jana shares: "Participating in this event was very valuable professionally, but also very inspirational. I saw a great interest in new projects and potential collaborations in the future."
