Event of the year at the Ltd. “Poligrāfijas grupa Mūkusala”

Projects

The year 2015 is going to become especially notable in the history of the Ltd. "Poligrāfijas grupa Mūkusala". As we have informed earlier, this milestone has been anticipated for long years, and now it is achieved – in the middle of the summer, another new magazine printing press will be installed.

The head of the Sales and Marketing Department of the Ltd. "Poligrāfijas grupa Mūkusala" Oskars Brenčs says:
"Installation of the new printing equipment is a very important achievement for our future development and growth. The new equipment will allow us to double the production capacity and significantly increase the company’s activity in export markets. We are planning to fully employ the new printing equipment within three years, which will allow the Ltd. "Poligrāfijas grupa Mūkusala" to increase the export turnover from 27% (the data of the year 2014) up to 50 – 60%."

The head of the Maintenance Department of the Ltd. "Poligrāfijas grupa Mūkusala" Arnis Sīpols says:
"The most important stage of the project implementation has been started – the first stage of the construction works (the foundation and floor). Within the next few days, the present paper warehouse room will be freed (transferred) with the purpose of its reconstruction and preparation for installation of the new printing press. During the next few months, we expect a lot of dust and construction waste, but it will not affect the daily operations of the printing plant!"

The Chairman of the Board of the Ltd. "Poligrāfijas grupa Mūkusala" Visvaldis Trokša says:
"The project has a total investment of EUR 5 million, part of which is covered by the EU, since the project is being implemented within the framework of the High value-added investment program. Totally, for the whole company’s existence time, we have invested EUR 17 million. The new investment is not only a great challenge but also a logical step in development that will help us to become one of the most remarkable printing plants in Europe."

The project “Purchase of new printing equipment” which is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund, is being implemented in cooperation with the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (contract No. L-APV-14-0120) . Implementation of the project is expected by July 31, 2015.
